This is a re-post of my comments on our Facebook page that I posted for the 4 of July weekend. It deserves re-posting as the message is important for every weekend, and for every shore community during the summer months.
“Heavy traffic going to LBI for the holiday weekend. Be careful of stop and go traffic and quick changing lights. Also use caution with all the beach goers. They are like deer. You never know when they are going to jump out into the road. Cyclist should also remember to obey the traffic laws as you are a wheeled vehicle just like a car. If your waiting in traffic don’t block intersections. If you hear a siren or see emergency lights, MOVE OVER and STOP.
Have a Safe and Fun Summer. NJHW”.
